Although “normal”, many men express embarrassment about their penis size. This discomfort can turn into a real complex, creating a real psychological barrier.
Penoplasty can provide a lasting solution to this condition. Obviously, given the nature of this procedure, medical secrecy and confidentiality of information (in relation to the activities of plastic surgeons) are absolute.
Goal: To lengthen and enlarge the size of the penis.
Intervention techniques: Two techniques can be used: the fat structure and the hyaluronic acid injection.
Phalloplasty of the fatty structure: This is the most reliable phalloplasty (for penis enlargement). This involves injecting the patient’s own fat (fatty structures). The surgery begins with a fat harvest (usually from the abdomen or suprapubic bone: these areas are rich in fat cells that are less sensitive to weight variations and maintain the fat grafts better over time).
In a second step, the fat is reinjected. The entry point of the fat injection is located in the groove that separates the glans penis from the body (the glans penis groove). A small amount of fat is then sown harmoniously at the base of the penis at its pubic angle.
The lengthening phalloplasty can be done in the same operation time by incising the suspensory ligament of the penis. A phalloplasty is performed under general anesthesia and can be done on an outpatient basis or during a 24-hour hospitalization.
Post-operative follow-up: The procedure is not very painful and does not leave any scars. Slight edema may occur after surgery. In the case of penile enlargement, professional activity can be resumed one week after the operation, and in the case of enlargement, activity can be resumed after 24 hours.
Results: Generally one session is sufficient, with lifelong results. Depending on the patient and the healing, the lengthening obtained with penile surgery is between 2 and 4 cm, while the enlargement is between 1.8 and 2.7 cm.
Alternative technique: phalloplasty by injection of hyaluronic acid. As hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the body, this technique gives good results, progressive absorption over time and no risk of rejection.
