Guarantees

The indication for surgery and the study of each patient’s preoperative check-up is intended to select the candidates for cosmetic surgery in order to avoid any risks or possible complications. When complications do occur, they are rare and for the most part do not cause any long-term inconvenience.

In case of proven complications

Physical complications can be classified into 4 categories. Complications related to anesthesia, postoperative bleeding, infections and scars. The vast majority of these complications occur at the time of the operation or just after. They can therefore be controlled immediately on site by the medical team. This is why it is very important to respect the recovery time imposed by the surgeon in the country. This allows for better patient monitoring.

In case of unsatisfactory results

It is important to know that most of the time, the results require many months of waiting before they are final. The patient-practitioner relationship is therefore fundamental in the trust that the patient must have in his surgeon. Often, the surgeon will recommend that the patient wait until the final result. In case of dissatisfaction, an evaluation on photos will be made. If the insufficient result is obvious, a touch-up will be taken care of by the surgeon. In the event of a dispute, the surgeon will ask the patient for the opinion of a neutral surgeon of his choice. This surgeon must be registered as a cosmetic surgeon with the Conseil National de l’Ordre des Médecins. The surgeon will have to establish a report of his observations to the surgeon who performed the operation. In case of dissatisfaction without any fault, error or clumsiness, the surgeon may refuse to operate again. But it is never in anyone’s interest to do so! Our surgeons make every effort to achieve complete patient satisfaction.

Medical ethics and code of conduct

It is important to remember that all of our partner surgeons are bound by strict ethical rules and the medical code of conduct. In the event of a problem, the surgeon is obliged to follow up, take care of the patient and provide all necessary and appropriate care. If the patient has rights, he or she also has duties. It is in the patient’s best interest to comply with all contractual conditions and medical recommendations made to them before and after the procedure.
